The job:

As RF hardware developer at RTX you will join a team that creates designs & products for all of our 3 three product segments: Enterprise, Pro-Audio and Healthcare. The products are developed and manufactured for major international and leading brands. You will be involved in all development steps from initial product specifications to design (including schematic/PCB design) through verification and type approval and in the end handover to mass production.

Designing radio solutions incl. antennas in small-sized products like headsets, handheld products like microphones and large Enterprise Access Points with great RF performance is one of the key drivers for our wireless success.

Your primary tasks will include:

  • Product creation collaboration with colleagues across the organization, like Mechanics, General HW, Acoustic, Software and Production teams.
  • RF Circuit design including areas like link budget, antenna simulation & design, selection and evaluation of relevant transceivers, PAs, RF switches, RF filter etc.
  • Verification and test of electrical performance against product and regulatory requirements, e.g., antenna pattern, transmit power, receiver sensitivity, signal integrity, wireless link quality etc. Mainly in our in-house labs.
  • Integration of the design, with RF performance in mind, into the full product often with limited PCB size available.
  • To support the prototype builds including defining the needed electrical test specification for the radio part and analyzing the relevant RF production data.
  • Evaluation of the performance of the system and be attentive in improving the system performance even more.
  • Participate in cost saving and maintenance tasks for in-market products.
  • Documentation of individual tasks by means of e.g., design specifications, test specifications, and measurement reports and contribute to the knowledge sharing, writing lessons learned and best practice documents, when relevant.

  • Experience in making systems, circuits and EM simulations.
  • Experience in practical RF-lab work: E.g., using a network or spectrum analyzer, verifying specific radio performance parameters Rx/Tx performance, frequency synthesis, impedance matching techniques etc.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements (DECT, WiFi, Bluetooth) is a plus.
  • Experience with product development for high volume production.
  •
  • Profound communication skills in English (written and oral).

Who we are:

At RTX, wireless is not just wireless! We make an effort to understand how the specific use cases can be optimized through wireless technology. As well as exploring how the link between products configurated in a system can make a difference and help the user perform at their best.

We innovate, design, and manufacture wireless communication solutions within three segments:

• Enterprise solutions covering amongst others, wireless communication systems connecting handsets and headsets via base stations.

• Healthcare solutions where wireless systems are used for monitoring critically ill patients, among others.

• ProAudio, which makes professional audio solutions such as wireless microphones and headsets used for e.g. concerts and conferences, as well as gaming accessories such as keyboards, headsets, and mice.

We have the ambition to create ground-breaking technologies while also creating value for our customers and end-users. Working in close partnership with our customers, we offer customized, ‘turn-key’, end-to-end solutions with full product lifecycle management designed to meet the ambition of their portfolio and brand.

An international arena

At RTX, you get to unfold your ambitions in an international environment. We offer our employees a multitude of opportunities to use their skills in an international environment in cooperation with customers and partners around the world. We are a European company operating globally and employ 300+ people at our locations in Denmark, Hong Kong, and USA, with our headquarter in Nørresundby. We offer flexible working terms so that you can work from home some days besides in the office at Nørresundby.

Exceed your career aspirations

We believe in giving our employees the best challenges to develop their skills by offering several different career paths, depending on whether you want to be a specialist or project manager. To ensure the best start, you will be assigned to a tutor and go through an onboarding program, which includes an introduction to how we work.

Work-life balance

We believe that a healthy work-life balance is important and highly encourages well-planned work within the contracted hours. Furthermore, we use flex time to let you move parts of you work outside normal working hours and maybe to your home.
