RTX A/S

Embedded Software Developer

Do you want to help build secure healthcare applications that make a real difference for patients and clinicians? The RTX healthcare team is expanding and looking for an experienced developer to join our team.

Healthcare solutions are part of critical clinical workflows where reliability, data integrity, and patient safety are essential. Failures or security breaches can directly impact patient care, privacy, and trust. We therefore build our solutions with security and robustness as fundamental requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Modern healthcare environments connect many types of systems and devices — from gateways and bedside terminals to backend infrastructure and patient monitoring devices. Applications and products play a key role in connecting these components, enabling secure data exchange, supporting clinical workflows, and ensuring that sensitive healthcare data is handled safely and reliably.

As part of our team, you will design, develop, and maintain secure healthcare products that integrate with embedded devices, backend systems, and hospital infrastructure. You will work closely with architects, platform engineers, and operations teams to ensure that our solutions meet modern security, reliability, and regulatory requirements.

You will be involved across the full software lifecycle — from design and implementation to deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement in production.

Some of your key responsibilities will entail:

  • Designing, implementing and documenting features
  • Automated test development
  • Releasing and maintaining the software to other teams
  • Sustaining and bug fixing the software post-integration

We expect you to have:

  • Experience with C/C++/C#.
  • Experience working with and developing embedded platforms.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Knowledge of Jenkins or similar build systems would be good.
  • Ability to work in team and independently.
  • Structured and ability to manage tasks and projects independently with urgency.
  • Excellent English written and oral communications skills.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related experience.

You embrace teamwork and you can work independently as well. We expect that you are flexible and show high responsibility for your own tasks. You must be methodical in the approach to problem-solving and you must focus on the quality of delivered results.

Place of work will be at our headquarters in Nørresundby, Denmark.
